LEGO Super Mario 71426 Piranha Plant is out now

LEGO Super Mario 71426 Piranha Plant is out now

The first LEGO Super Mario set not tied to the electronic figure and app is out now – 71426 Piranha Plant – as the latest huge enemy creation.

Following in the massive footsteps of 71411 The Mighty Bowser, 71426 Piranha Plant takes the stage today as the least expensive 18+ LEGO Super Mario set so far. The theme's LEGO for Adults models have all had a higher price so far and covered a wide range of topics from a homage to a specific game to the puppet-like 71411 The Mighty Bowser.

Leaning into the concept of the latter build but with a more affordable price, 71426 Piranha Plant has just launched for £57.99 / $59.99 / €64.99. Featuring 540 pieces, the entirety of the piece count goes towards the upscaled Piranha Plant build.

You can shift the stem from side to side and pose the leaves and mouth to recreate poses from the Super Mario games. A few LEGO Super Mario coins are included too, as the model acts as a coin bank or storage for any spare pieces you have on hand.

The listing on LEGO.com makes it clear that this LEGO Super Mario set is the first to have no digital play function. That makes it the first standalone set based on the franchise that you don't need one of the three starter packs to use fully.

Whether you want to display 71426 Piranha Plant on your desk or as a setpiece in your latest LEGO Super Mario course, you can pick up the set now for £57.99 / $59.99 / €64.99.
