The LEGO VIP Dragon Adventure Ride reward doesn’t come in the same packaging as its Bricktober version, opting for a simpler box.
The LEGO Dragon Adventure Ride VIP Reward that was available starting during the LEGO VIP Weekend 2022 has arrived with some, including Ashnflash.
This arrival has revealed that the packaging between it and the version given away during the Bricktober event for 2022 has entirely different packaging, as well as one less piece.
While the VIP reward has intricate details on a folding, premium box, the VIP reward instead uses the simple yellow box with a cutout for a picture of the model that has been used for GWPs previously. The box for the Dragon Adventure Ride Bricktober item is on the right of the above image.
As well as this, the piece counts between the boxes differ by just one brick. Exactly what this additional piece in the Bricktober version could be isn’t known and it may be that this is a mistake. Either way, there’s a clear difference in the packaging, although the model is the main attraction of the reward.
It seems likely that this will be the case with the Pirate Adventure Ride too as the packaging is a plausible culprit for this change, given the additional work that may need to be put into the premium version. It has a design on the inside, a separate compartment for the instructions and a folding feature to keep the gift entirely intact.
Currently, the Dragon Adventure Ride VIP reward is out of stock in the UK but the Pirate Adventure Ride remains available. There are two other models in the Bricktober 2022 range but at present, there are no details of a wide release for them.
