LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight adds unique HBO suits

Two exclusive LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight suits are now available for HBO subscribers who link the game to their accounts.

With early reviews of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight out in the wild and the Deluxe Edition dropping tomorrow, anticipation for the upcoming TT Games title is rapidly reaching fever pitch. Now comes word that two more unique Bat suits are available for players to collect, but only if they’re HBO subscribers that is.

The streaming service is offering its customers a pair of exclusive 'free' LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight outfits that can be obtained right now, ahead of the Deluxe Edition arriving on May 19. Both the Blackest Knight and The Dark Knight of Steel suits can be yours simply by linking your Warner Bros. Games and HBO accounts.

Existing subscribers need to log in to their HBO account, click on ‘account settings,’ select ‘connections’ and then choose their WB Games account. Once linked, the two LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight outfits will appear in the Batcave, ready to be worn.

Blackest Night was a massive 2009 DC Comics crossover event that involved the debut of the Black Lantern Corps and the return of many deceased heroes and villains, including Batman himself at one point.

The Dark Knights of Steel appeared in a 12-issue limited series published by the company in 2021 that presented an Elseworlds take on Batman and Superman, essentially a high fantasy reimagining of the characters.

While the inclusion of those specific suits might be appreciated by some players, the fact that the reveal has been left so late in the day and requires a paid-for monthly HBO subscription in order to access the outfits might prove frustrating for those on a tight budget who may be looking to obtain all of the game’s content.

You’ll be able to check out LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight for yourself when it’s released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on May 22 and can be wishlisted on Switch 2 for release sometime in 2026. Note that those players who purchase the Deluxe Edition will get to tackle the game early from May 19.
