What is the new LEGO Marvel Brickverse project?

A full video for LEGO Marvel Brickverse has been released, shedding more light on what exactly this project is and how it will affect the theme.

Following a strange teaser over the weekend, the full LEGO Marvel Brickverse mini movie has been unveiled, and it hides a few more clues as to what exactly this project is. The video tells a Marvel-centric story with all kinds of Easter eggs and characters in a stylish animated style, with a child controlling the story.

The content and description of the video all emphasise the idea that the LEGO Marvel Brickverse is a marketing campaign for the theme, with each fan getting their own Brickverse to mix and match Marvel models however they wish. That lines up with comments about LEGO Marvel Brickverse in a recent episode of the official Marvel podcast from the LEGO Group's Jesper Nielsen and Disney’s Jesse Falcon.

“The idea of the Brickverse is that it's a universe that you can build, play in and control," explains Jesse. "The coolest thing about Marvel is the storytelling. The Marvel team are master storytellers, and the LEGO team have built over nearly 100 years this incredible play ability with this fluid building pattern whereby Jesper and his team of master builders can make an amazing set, whether it's the Marvel logo or something from Endgame or something from the Spider-Man movies, and contextualize that.

It doesn't quite explain later quotes, which mention the street range of sets featuring 76311 Miles Morales vs. The Spot, 76324 Spider-Man vs. Oscorp and 76317 Peter Parker’s Apartment, as well as more builds coming in 2026 to support LEGO Marvel Brickverse.

“We have some stuff that is in the pipeline that we're going to be putting out there pretty soon that'll help support the Brickverse," states Jesse. “We're going to be rolling that into 2026. This one's a little different, because it's not just going to be something that we'll celebrate over one year. It's going to last for a longer time."

Despite some mixed messaging in these quotes, where Brickverse was described as some kind of collection within LEGO Marvel, the new movie adds more weight to the theory that Brickverse is just the name for a new marketing campaign for LEGO Marvel, encouraging fans to combine sets to make their own Marvel universe.

The video does mention that the LEGO Marvel Brickverse will return, indicating that the campaign is going to be active for some time. Whether it will have any significant impact on the contents of LEGO Marvel has yet to be seen, but there are plans in place for the future.
