What can you do with £750 worth of LEGO SMART Play sets?

The question of what you can do with LEGO SMART Play on a big budget has been answered in the form of a Mos Eisley Cantina karaoke machine.

The LEGO Group has teamed up with James Bruton of xrobotsuk to showcase the potential of LEGO SMART Play, as long as you have at least £750 to spend on sets and electronic elements. They've put together a karaoke machine using seven copies of 75425 Mos Eisley Cantina, 14 individual SMART Bricks and another 14 SMART Minifigures.

The cost of these, assuming you're picking up the SMART Bricks off BrickLink individually and using the SMART Minifigures from 75425 Mos Eisley Cantina, is around £751.73, but it can get to over £800 with delivery fees.

The result of this project is a huge LEGO karaoke machine that makes use of the musical functionality in 75425 Mos Eisley Cantina, with switches that allow different SMART Minifigures to pop up and sing along.

It proves that SMART Play can be used to create some unique models, but only if you have a big enough budget. Alternatively, one copy of 75425 Mos Eisley Cantina is available now for £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99, and you can either get an individual SMART Brick of Bricklink for around £18 or in 75421 Darth Vader's TIE Fighter for £59.99 / $69.99 / €69.99.
