Two new LEGO Technic sets rumoured for 2026

The first details on next year’s LEGO Technic sets have emerged online, pointing to a small price increase on their 2025 equivalents.

Two new Monster Jam LEGO sets are said to be on the way in January, continuing a subtheme that’s been running under LEGO Technic since 2021. That’s according to Instagram user lego_minecraft_goat, who’s shared rumoured set names in a recent Instagram story, along with prices – which are $2 higher than the RRPs of this year’s Monster Jam models.

42219 Monster Jam Grave Digger Fire and Ice Pull-Back and 42220 Monster Jam Sparkle Smash Pull-Back (pictured up top) are both reported to retail for $29.99 in the US, while 2025’s 42199 Monster Jam DIGatron Pull-Back and 42200 Monster Jam ThunderROARus Pull-Back cost $27.99 apiece (or £22.99 / €27.99). Previous rumours have suggested they’ll retail for €29.99 in the EU, so we could be looking at a price hike across the board.

That wasn’t necessarily a given, as we’re slowly starting to see a bigger gulf between US prices and those in the rest of the world, where previously US and Euro prices have generally held numerical parity. You can witness that across much of the August 2025 range, but most obviously with the newly-revealed 21359 Italian Riviera, which retails for £249.99 in the UK, €279.99 in Europe and a whopping $299.99 in the US.

Either way, if they do indeed cost $29.99 as expected, it would be the second price bump in two years for this subtheme, as 2023’s sets retailed for only $19.99 apiece – but while the newer sets have similar piece counts as their predecessors, they also have pull-back motors, which would explain that initial jump in price.
