Two new LEGO Chinese Festivals sets rumoured for 2026

Two new LEGO Chinese Festivals sets are rumoured for later this year, said to be recreating icons from Chinese history and mythology.

Instagram user lego_minecraft_goat has reported two fresh rumours for LEGO Chinese Festivals sets, both said to be coming out in May 2026. 80120 Carp Jumping over the Dragon Gate is said to cost $59.99, while 80121 Song Dynasty Architecture is said to cost $149.99.

Remember to take this rumoured information with a pinch of salt for now, as it's not yet been confirmed by the LEGO Group. However, if the rumours do prove to be true, the set name for 80120 seems to suggest the set could be inspired by the Chinese legend of carp turning into dragons. The story tells of carp fighting to swim against strong currents while travelling upstream and leaping over a treacherous waterfall in the Yellow River before being transformed into golden dragons.

The second set appears to refer to something based on architecture or a building from the Song dynasty, which lasted from 960 to 1279 in China. Typical architecture from that time was largely delicate and intricate, featuring smaller-scale wooden structures such as pagodas, pavilions, and temples. Special characteristics included elaborate external decorations and uplifted roofs.
