Time is officially up for the most coveted LEGO set of 2026 – so far

Although stock of LEGO Pokémon 40892 Kanto Region Badge Collection lasted longer than expected, time is now officially up for the GWP.

After the pre-order chaos that surrounded the LEGO Pokémon launch that saw 40892 Kanto Region Badge Collection sell out within hours, while its associated set, 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise quickly went on back order, release day stock lasted longer. Whether that was because the most avid fans got in on pre-orders or whether the LEGO Group reserved more stock for the second round, it's hard to say.

Whatever the reason, 40892 Kanto Region Badge Collection was available in most regions for a few days, only starting to sell out on March 3. That couldn't last forever, of course – and it seems the last window to get the LEGO Pokémon GWP has finally closed.

The first time the 312-piece model sold out, there was the promise of release day offering a second chance, but not this time. The only way to get your hands on the GWP now will be by paying eye-watering prices on the secondhand market – or making your own, thanks to this nifty custom build that's only missing the stickers that are exclusive to 40892 Kanto Region Badge Collection.

If you are still after an extra bit of LEGO Pokémon in your basket, 40911 Mini Pokémon Center is still available in the UK and Europe (although it's sold out in the US). You can redeem 2,500 points for the model in the Insiders Rewards Centre and then add the promotional code to your next LEGO order.
