WB Games has revealed three more Batsuits coming to next month’s LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, and they’re some pretty deep cuts for the Caped Crusader…
IGN, Gamespot and Comicbook have each exclusively revealed one new LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight suit, joining the growing list of existing suits already shown off for the upcoming video game (including the retro 2006 minifigure suits). Check them all out below…
Batman Ninja

First up is the Dark Knight’s samurai armour, which he pieced together in the 2018 anime film Batman Ninja. This isn’t quite as vintage as some of the other suits in the game, but it is solid evidence that the developers are pulling from all corners of the Bat-canon for Legacy of the Dark Knight.
Batman of Zur-En-Arrh

The San Diego Comic-Con-exclusive Batman of Zur-En-Arrh LEGO minifigure fetches around £1,000 these days, but the bottom would fall out of that market if the LEGO Group released the version pictured above, complete with upgraded shoulder armour and dual-moulded arms and legs.
This colourful suit – which originally debuted in the comics in 1958, and belonged to an alien impersonating Batman’s approach – will be playable in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, and its vibrant red, purple and yellow hues ensure the bad guys will see you coming. But at least you can beat them up in style…
Gotham by Gaslight

Finally, you’ll be able to don Batman’s iconic steampunk-esque suit from the 1989 Elseworlds comic Gotham by Gaslight, which saw the Dark Knight go toe-to-toe with Jack the Ripper. It’s one of the darker inspirations for the Bat-wardrobe in the game, so TT Games’ version is slightly more family-friendly – but still looks very cool.
With only seven playable characters in the base game, the developers are leaning into alternate outfits as a selling point of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, so there will presumably be many more suits included in the game than we’ve seen already (such as this Batman ’89 NES suit).
You’ll be able to take them all for a spin when LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight debuts on consoles and PC on May 22. It's available to pre-order at LEGO.com now.
