The biggest LEGO Disney castle sets ever released

A new LEGO Disney castle launches next month, and while it's not the biggest build in the theme, it beats many other brick-built Disney castles.

The most comprehensive LEGO Beauty and the Beast set is right around the corner, and 43263 Beauty and the Beast Castle is joining a long list of castles in LEGO Disney, including some that top the list of the biggest LEGO Disney castles ever designed.

6 – 43205 Ultimate Adventure Castle

The 698-piece 43205 Ultimate Adventure Castle offers a home for some of Disney's most recognisable princesses with an open back but a distinct colour scheme. It's one of the few original Disney locations devised by the LEGO Group, and there is even a special based on it.

5 – 41148 / 43172 Elsa's Ice Palace

Price: £64.99 / $79.99 / €69.99 Pieces: 701 Release date: January 1, 2017 / August 5 2019

It shouldn't be surprising to see a Frozen set on this list, and technically, there are three since 41148 / 43172 Elsa's Ice Palace was released in 2017 and 2019, though it's the same build. The 701-piece creation just overtakes 43205 Ultimate Adventure Castle's piece count and focuses on just one animated blockbuster.

Frozen's biggest LEGO set is next on the list with the 1,709-piece 43197 The Ice Castle, focusing on the popular film again in the most complete recreation of the castle to date. While it has mini-dolls instead of minifigures, it would display nicely next to the upcoming 43263 Beauty and the Beast Castle, but it has long since been retired.

The brand-new 43263 Beauty and the Beast Castle is much bigger than 43197 The Ice Castle and is the latest adult-targeted LEGO Disney set in the modern era of 18+ models, focusing on a specific film like 43242 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' Cottage. It has 2,916 pieces and launches next month.

2 – 71040 Disney Castle

This LEGO Disney castle is so nice, the LEGO Group released it twice. The first iteration of the Walt Disney World castle was released in 2016 and focuses on Mickey and his friends in a castle filled to the brim with Disney Easter eggs. With 4,080 pieces, it's still not the biggest LEGO Disney castle ever released.

43222 Disney Castle is even bigger than 71040 The Disney Castle and reflects the updated look of the Walt Disney World castle with 4,837 pieces. Instead of featuring Mickey Mouse, this LEGO Disney castle is all about princesses and princes from across Disney history.
