Reminder: surplus BrickLink Designer Program LEGO sets will be available later today

Fingers at the ready: we’re only a few short hours away from the remainder of the LEGO Group’s surplus stock of BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 and 2 sets going live in the US and Canada.

The LEGO Group announced last week that it would be selling an allocation of leftover BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 and 2 sets via LEGO.com exclusively in the US and Canada, but didn’t confirm which of the 10 models across those two series would be up for grabs. We do know exactly when they’ll go live, though: 8am PT / 11am ET today, May 20.

Supplies are likely to be extremely limited, so best set your alarm and have your finger on the buzzer for the moment they become available to purchase. These sets were only otherwise available to buy during the respective crowdfunding periods for Series 1 and 2, and will presumably never again be available to purchase through first-party channels.

Check out the galleries and tables below for a reminder of the fan-designed sets included in Series 1 and 2 of the BrickLink Designer Program. Any or all of these could be available to purchase directly from LEGO.com later today.

While the initial production run for each of these sets was capped at 30,000 copies (and not all of them reached that limit during the crowdfunding period), the LEGO Group says that a handful of leftover sets are available thanks to cancelled orders and replacements created for lost or damaged shipments. These were all produced specifically for the North American market, though – which is why they’re only available to buy in the US and Canada.

Any additional copies originally destined for the European market will apparently be sold exclusively through LEGO Fan Tours and Inside Tours in Billund, making them just a little bit harder to come by on this side of the Atlantic. The best way to guarantee any BrickLink Designer Program set is to pre-order during the initial crowdfunding phase, which will take place for Series 5 on June 10 at 8am PT / 4pm BST.

We’ll report which BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 and 2 sets are available to purchase later today, but given some of them could sell out in a matter of minutes, your best bet is to head through to LEGO.com when you read this and set an alarm for 8am PT…
