The LEGO Group has recently made the jump to busts for LEGO Star Wars, opening up possibilities that were previously unavailable in the helmet line.
We recently reviewed the first two busts released, 75439 Darth Vader Bust and 75438 Yoda Bust. Overall, the verdict was that the poseability available with busts is a huge advantage over helmets. While Vader looked sleek, Yoda’s face was a little unsettling – though this was only the first attempt at the format.

LEGO Star Wars will likely revisit busts in the future, and these are six characters we would love to see brought to life.
C-3PO

Back in early 2022, Jens Kronvold Frederiksen said that something like C-3PO with personality “will probably not happen within this concept”, referring to the helmet line.
A switch to busts would create the perfect opportunity to bring the iconic droid to life, capturing all of the detail and personality in his face.
Chewbacca

The detail in Chewbacca’s fur makes him a perfect candidate for a LEGO bust. His features could risk looking a little cursed in a similar way to the Yoda bust.
But, with more time and improvements to the bust format, Chewbacca could be brought to life – hopefully in a less unsettling way than 75371 Chewbacca.
Darth Maul

One of the coolest fan-favourite characters in all of Star Wars is Darth Maul, and with the recent critical and audience popularity of Maul: Shadow Lord, the LEGO Group should seriously consider adapting more sets based on the character.
A bust would perfectly capture his face and horns, and there is already precedent for the character as a bust with the rare 10018 Darth Maul Bust.
Ahsoka Tano

A LEGO bust would be the perfect way to celebrate the individual with the most screen time of any Star Wars character. Another fan favourite, Ahsoka would suit the bust line perfectly, with her alien features hanging down from the plinth to create a truly unique display piece.
With Ahsoka Season 2 delayed until early 2027, that could be the perfect time to see her brought to life as a bust.
General Grievous

Similarly to C-3PO, General Grievous never would have worked in the helmet line because his face carries too much personality for a droid. As a bust, however, the character could work magnificently.
General Grievous also does not appear in many sets anymore, last featuring in 75286 General Grievous's Starfighter six years ago. A new opportunity to get the minifigure would not go amiss, and a bust could be the perfect excuse.
Plo Koon

Slightly less likely than the other five, Plo Koon could still make an excellent LEGO bust. The Jedi Master’s unique facial features would suit the bust line perfectly, and while a full line-up of prequel Jedi busts could work well – including Kit Fisto, Ki-Adi-Mundi and Shaak Ti – Plo Koon’s popularity would make him the best place to start.
75439 Darth Vader Bust is available now for £44.99 / $49.99 / €49.99, while 75438 Yoda Bust is also available for £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99.
