Pre-orders for the deluxe edition of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight have dropped significantly, now just £2 more than the standard edition.
The next major LEGO game is launching in May, and pre-orders for both editions of the game have been open for some time. It's only this week, though, that pre-orders for the deluxe edition dropped in price from £79.99 to just £61.99. That's a 23% discount, available on all platforms at both Amazon UK and Very.
It's almost unheard of in the gaming industry to see such a major title's most expensive addition drop in price so significantly months before release. The RRP for the standard edition of the next LEGO game is £59.99. This means that you can currently secure all of the deluxe edition's additional content and three days of early access for just £2 more.
Check out the table below for all the links you need to pre-order the edition on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
| Platform | RRP | Discount | Discounted price | Link (Amazon UK) | Link (Very) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|

| PlayStation 5 | £79.99 | 23% | £61.99 | Buy now | Buy now |

As opposed to the standard edition of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, which includes just the game itself and The Dark Knight Returns suit with all pre-orders, the deluxe edition packs in much more content. At launch, owners of the deluxe edition will receive three days of early access to the game, as well as the Arkham Trilogy, Party Music, and Batman Beyond packs. These include seven suits, one Batmobile, and five Batcave props each.
In September, deluxe edition owners will receive the Mayhem Collection pack featuring the Joker and Harley Quinn as playable characters, a new mission and a new mode. That's on top of the Sinister Pack, matching the content of the three packs at launch.

Whether that additional content is worth a £20 upgrade is up for debate. At just £2 more, it's going to be hard to resist upgrading. We don't know how long this deal will last, but pre-ordering will guarantee you this discounted price.
Amazon's pre-order price promise also means that if the price drops even further before the release date of May 29 (May 26 for the deluxe edition), you will be charged the lower price. The standard edition of the game is also discounted at the retailers, currently at £54 or 10% off.
