Rumoured LEGO Superman movie sets would be the opportunity we've waited for

New rumours combined with exciting news for the upcoming Superman movie have made for an opportunistic potential future for LEGO DC.

Now that LEGO DC is rumoured to be exploring the Superman movie next year according to the reliable Instagram user tandnbricks, it's worth reminding you of three casted characters in the film that would be a great opportunity for LEGO DC after the last few years.

While LEGO DC has been focused solely on Batman in recent years, mostly reflecting the cinematic slate of DC Studios, James Gunn's leadership will be shaking things up next year for the 2025 Superman movie. Hawkgirl, Mister Terrific and Guy Gardner of the Green Lanterns will all be instantly debuting in the new cinematic universe as part of the film.

Hawkgirl is the only one of these three characters to already have a physical LEGO minifigure, and the design differs from some of her iterations in comics too. The other two only exist in LEGO video games. With Superman movie sets rumoured for next year, LEGO DC may well be finally exploring beyond Batman. At least, in a bigger way than we expected based on previous rumours of a Superman mech.

There's no guarantee that these three confirmed characters will feature in the rumoured LEGO Superman 2025 movie sets and similarly, there's no guarantee that any such sets are in LEGO DC's future. Still, should they play a large role in the movie, it's hard to imagine the LEGO Group shying away from them as previous DC film sets have included superhero characters that weren't the primary focus of the film. This includes Wonder Woman in 76046 Heroes of Justice: Sky High Battle.

After a few years of Batman only, DC's brick-built future is looking bright according to official movie news and rumours. Take everything you read with caution unless it has been officially announced. For now, specific sets rumoured for 2025 include the following three DC builds.
