More details have surfaced regarding the rumoured microscale LEGO Disney Castle gift-with-purchase, naming the would-be set and suggesting that it's still coming.
According to Instagram user brick_clicker, we may now have a title to attach to the rumoured miniature Disney Castle gift-with-purchase. Nothing has been confirmed as to any future LEGO offers, so take everything you read with the usual pinch of salt until an official announcement is made.
Reportedly, the promotional build will be named 40478 Mini Disney Castle, a suitable name for the apparent model. brick_clicker also reiterates their belief that the creation will be given away as a future gift-with-purchase but any other details remain missing at this time.
Should these rumours prove to be true, the model will likely be a smaller version of 71041 Disney Castle, recreating the Magic Kingdom icon from Disney World. In the past, it was believed to be planned for retail at $50, suggesting that its size could be comparable to the recent LEGO Ideas 40487 Sailboat Adventure, which comes with a hefty £200 / $200 / €200 price threshold to earn.
It could be that 40478 Mini Disney Castle is planned as an offer for the LEGO Group's usual Black Friday event, fulfilling the same role that 40410 Charles Dickens Tribute did as a free set with orders over £150 / $150 / €150.
Nothing has been confirmed quite yet, so treat that information as purely speculative for the time being. However, such an occurrence would also line up with the Disney World resort celebrating 50 years of operation with celebrations beginning from October 1 and lasting for the coming months.
We'll be sure to keep you updated if or when we learn more about 40478 Mini Disney Castle. In the meantime, the larger and fan-favourite
