Thirteen new minifigures, two of which depict entirely new characters, will join the LEGO Harry Potter theme on January 1, 2026. Here's a closer look at them all.
As well as returning to tried-and-tested grounds with Harry, Ron, Hermione and other familiar characters, LEGO Harry Potter is breaking new ground with two new characters and 11 new minifigure variations in January. Dotted throughout the upcoming sets, here's a closer look at the new minifigure designs hitting shelves in a few short weeks.
Penelope Clearwater
Ravenclaw student Penelope Clearwater makes her debut in 76463 Hogwarts Castle: Hospital Wing. Her design is fairly simple, wearing similar printed robes with plain black legs as other Hogwarts students, with blue details and the Ravenclaw crest to make her house.
The ever-expanding collection of Hogwarts Castle sets is an excellent place to include minor but new characters like Penelope. If you're collecting all of them, you'll soon be overwhelmed by the amount of Harry, Ron and Hermione minifigures, so having more characters to flesh out your display, even rather simple ones like this, are a welcome dash of diversity.
Xenophilius Lovegood
Similarly, Xenophilius Lovegood plays a small role in the wider franchise but a central one in the scene set at 76467 Luna Lovegood's House. His minifigure is a little more exciting, with detailed torso and leg printing to reflect his colourful robes. The printed Deathly Hallows necklace is an especially nice touch, signifying his role in explaining the magical myth to Harry and the others.
Professor Remus Lupin
Professor Remus Lupin is not a new character, but he's never been seen quite like this, donning a new olive green suit scattered with signs of wear and tear on the torso in 76463 Hogwarts Castle: Hospital Wing. The two face prints also feature scars, a sign of his tough life as a werewolf, while his beast side is hinted at with the secondary print, featuring golden eyes and sharpened teeth, as if he's about to transform.
Grey Lady
We've seen the Grey Lady before in 76413 Hogwarts: Room of Requirement, but she's had a fairly substantial upgrade over the last couple of years. The grey printing used throughout is much lighter, giving her a more ethereal, appropriately ghostly look, and there's a lot more detailed printing on her robes, especially the skirt.
Even for a ghost, she looks slightly worn down, in keeping with the trying time she's had even in the afterlife. There's only printing on the front of the skirt element, but the detail on her face printing makes for an overall impressive minifigure. You'll find her in 76463 Hogwarts Castle: Hospital Wing.
Death Eaters
We've also got two more Death Eater variants, with both appearing in
The second is more impressive, with a printed drawstring effect on the front that almost looks like armour. Both feature double face prints with different versions of masks, offering more variety to your Death Eater line-ups if you're planning to use cheap sets like
Dementor
The Dementor in 76463 Hogwarts Castle: Hospital Wing features new face printing, with more detail around the head and forehead. Dementors don't have eyes, but there is the suggestion of the bulbous skull shape that's visible in the movie with the new printing. There's also more emphasis given to the mouth, printed wide open as if about to bestow its deadly Kiss.
Hagrid
While Hagrid's signature coat body element has been seen before, this face print with goggles is new for the half-giant. His bushy eyebrows can still be seen over the top, but he's otherwise protected from the wind for his wild ride atop a motorcycle in
Hermione Granger (Prisoner of Azkaban)
Hermione features a new torso in 76463 Hogwarts Castle: Hospital Wing, with the Time Turner on full display rather than closer to her throat as in previous versions. Her hair is also new for her, featuring a more movie-accurate up-do (and yes, that really is how her hair looks from the back).

Ron Weasley
Ron Weasley looks similar to his minifigure from 76454 Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower, but this time includes arm printing for the first time with this torso. The plaid print of his shirt carries on all the way down his arms in the version of him in
Hermione Granger (Philosopher's Stone)
