Our latest guide to this year’s retiring LEGO sets covers models that should be on your radar across City, Disney and Jurassic World.
We’re advancing theme by theme through the sets retiring at the end of 2025 to help you make better informed decisions about whether to buy now, wait for a Black Friday deal or skip them altogether. You can tap any of the buttons below to head to our retiring LEGO set guide for that particular theme…
Next on the list are LEGO City, LEGO Disney and LEGO Jurassic World, three themes that between them have an extensive number of sets leaving the portfolio this year. But given most of these will either inevitably be revisited in some form or have a narrower audience, we’re taking a slightly different approach here: rather than going through every set, we’re picking out the best of the best from each theme to keep an eye on.
Not all of these are immediate purchases, so we’ll still let you know whether you’re best looking out for a LEGO Black Friday deal (and early offers are already out there on many sets). Dive in below…
43222 Disney Castle

While the original giant LEGO Disney Castle hung around on shelves for far longer than a regular LEGO set, its successor 43222 Disney Castle is retiring after only two and a half years. With no word yet on another version for 2026 (or later), now is the time to strike if you want to add this bigger and prettier castle to your collection. There’s a fair chance it will be on sale at Disney Store for Black Friday, but stock is likely to be very limited, so you may not want to wait on this one…
Verdict: Buy now
76964 Dinosaur Fossils: T. rex Skull

If you don’t have the space or budget for this year’s mighty 76968 Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus rex, set your sights instead on the smaller and much more affordable
Verdict: Buy it on sale
60420 Yellow Construction Excavator

LEGO City has dug up a few decent construction sets over the past couple of years, and there are a couple retiring in 2025 that should be on your wishlist. First up is 60420 Yellow Construction Excavator, which retails for £49.99 but is available at Very right now for only £34.99 – so it’s an easy one to advise picking up on sale. You’ll get a pretty meaty set in return too, complete with an articulated boom so you can dig up your own goodies.
Verdict: Buy it on sale
40720 Mini Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle

Collectors of LEGO Disney’s string of mini castles should have one eye on 40720 Mini Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle, which is on the way out in 2025 and exclusive to LEGO.com. The good news for those in the UK and Europe is that it’s currently 20% off at the official online store, but it probably won’t last much longer.
Verdict: Buy now
60422 Seaside Harbor with Cargo Ship

LEGO City harbours don’t come along all that often, so when one does it’s worth sitting up and paying attention – especially when it’s as frequently discounted as
Verdict: Buy it on sale
43230 Walt Disney Tribute Camera

43230 Walt Disney Tribute Camera has already sold out for good at LEGO.com in the UK, US and Europe (though is still available in Australia), so now is the time to jump on it if you see it available at a third-party retailer – not only for its exclusive minifigures, which include Walt Disney, Bambi and Dumbo, but also for being such a unique and one-off concept that’s unlikely to be revisited any time soon. Disney Store has it in stock in the UK at the moment.
Verdict: Buy now
60409 Yellow Mobile Construction Crane

The other LEGO City construction set worth keeping tabs on around Black Friday is 60409 Yellow Mobile Construction Crane, a pricier but still very impressive piece of minifigure machinery. Like a lot of LEGO City sets, this one’s prone to going on sale, so a discounted copy shouldn’t be too hard to come by over the next couple of weeks – it’s currently £25 off at Very, for example.
Verdict: Buy it on sale
43242 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ Cottage

Not many LEGO Disney exclusives get such good discounts as
Verdict: Buy it on sale
76965 Dinosaur Missions: Stegosaurus Discovery

Dinosaur nerds should be all up in 76965 Dinosaur Missions: Stegosaurus Discovery’s grill already to be honest, because this is our first moulded Stegosaurus since 2000’s Adventurers Dino Island sets. The rest of the set is standard LEGO Jurassic World fare – a truck, trailer, tree and so on – but as a complete package it’s still pretty fun, and available at Amazon UK (and other retailers) right now for 30% off…
Verdict: Buy it on sale
60433 Modular Space Station

The vast majority of LEGO City’s recent space sets are floating off into the atmosphere this year, and there are two that should be top of your list if you don’t own them already. First up is 60433 Modular Space Station, because what LEGO space setup is complete without a space station? And also because it’s
Verdict: Buy it on sale
60446 Modular Galactic Spaceship

The other essential ingredient for a LEGO space display is of course a spaceship, and while the cheap and cheerful 60430 Interstellar Spaceship is hanging around into 2026, this year’s excellent 60446 Modular Galactic Spaceship is unfortunately retiring already. It might just be the best LEGO City space set of them all, and with limited availability at third-party retailers it’s one to buy as soon as your budget allows.
Verdict: Buy now
