Retiring LEGO Marvel Daily Bugle sells out for good in the US

The retiring LEGO Marvel Daily Bugle didn't make it to the LEGO Insiders Weekend for many, as worldwide stock of the skyscraper is running low.

Here's hoping you weren't holding out on picking up 76178 Daily Bugle during the LEGO Insiders Weekend starting tomorrow. After selling out of stock completely in the UK, the US official online store has now similarly run out of copies, not long before the LEGO Insiders Weekend 2025 was due to start. The set is due to retire at the end of 2025, and the 'sold out' tag on the listings confirms that this skyscraper creation is gone for good, but not quite everywhere.

European regions can still pick up 76178 Daily Bugle for immediate shipping, and it's also only listed as temporarily out of stock in Australia (though there's no guarantee of a restock by the weekend for the latter). Let this latest regional sold-out status serve as a reminder; 76178 Daily Bugle is more unlikely than ever to last through the LEGO Insiders Weekend and Black Friday worldwide.

With its modular compatibility, several exclusive minifigures and an array of references, it's not surprising to see the retiring LEGO Marvel model be as popular as ever, and sell out for good in several regions. Those who live somewhere with stock of the set remaining won't want to wait much longer to pick up this model, and almost certainly not wait until after Black Friday.

Anyone who has unfortunately missed out on the retiring LEGO Marvel set isn't without a light on the horizon, though. A new Daily Bugle build is coming next year at a more wallet-friendly cost, but this one isn't modular-compatible.

76342 Spider-Man vs. Mysterio: The Daily Bugle is essentially a condensed version of 76178 Daily Bugle, complete with the news stand to the right of the main building. It's more detailed on the exterior, but it is designed for the mini Marvel modular range that started earlier this year. You can pick it up starting from January 1, 2026, for £99.99 / $99.99 / €109.99.

While we continue to quickly wave goodbye to the first superhero modular building, you can check out what other sets are retiring in LEGO Marvel this year, and whether or not you should pick them up here.
