Retiring LEGO DC 2025 set guide: buy now, wait for a deal or skip?

Retiring LEGO DC 2025 set guide: buy now, wait for a deal or skip?

LEGO DC doesn't have many sets retiring later this year, but there are at least two models that anyone and everyone won't want to miss.

LEGO DC's increased focus on Batman in recent years seems to have come with a decreased number of builds released each year, meaning its list of sets retiring in 2025 isn't nearly as big as other themes. This list is short, but sweet, including at least two sets to pick up before they retire later this year.

76270 Batman Mech Armor

76270 1024x768

Batman may be a good fit for the range of superhero character mechs, at least over the likes of Thor and Hulk, but that doesn't mean 76270 Batman Mech Armor is any more appealing than the other DC mech currently on shelves. You're better off saving your budget for the other LEGO DC mech, since Batman minifigures are incredibly common in the theme, and this mech offers nothing unique.

76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City

76271 1024x756

Anyone with a free spot on their wall should strongly consider picking up the stunning cityscape of 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City before the massive Batman: The Animated Series model retires later this year. With four minifigures (two of which are exclusive), and 4,210 pieces for only £259.99 / $299.99 / €299.99, this is one of the most creatively and excellently executed LEGO Batman sets to date, complete with all kinds of Easter eggs for fans to spot.

76273 Batman Construction Figure and the Bat-Pod Bike

76273 1024x768

The legacy of the original LEGO Bat-Pod gift-with-purchase is hard to forget, and 76273 Batman Construction Figure and the Bat-Pod Bike helps to fill that gap with a convincing buildable figure of the Caped Crusader. At £64.99 / $64.99 / €74.99, this LEGO Batman set isn't one to pick up, but discounts on this build aren't hard to find, and you should keep your eyes peeled for a deal on this stylish vehicle and figure bundle before it retires.

76274 Batman with the Batmobile vs. Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze

76274 1024x768

The Batman: The Animated Series representation continues in 76274 Batman with the Batmobile vs Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze, and with only one exclusive minifigure compared to 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City, it's not quite a must-have. Despite the colour scheme of the Batmobile, it's still one for collectors and fans of the animated source material to look for a discount on before its retirement this year.

76301 Batman & Batmobile vs. Mr. Freeze

LEGO 76301 Super Heroes Batman i Batmobil kontra Mr. Freeze zestaw1 1024x664

76301 Batman & Batmobile vs. Mr. Freeze is intended for a much younger audience, and while there is an interesting Mr. Freeze minifigure in this set, the character is featured in another retiring LEGO Batman build, as well as the upcoming 76300 Arkham Asylum. In summary, there's no real reason to consider this build before it retires.

76302 Superman Mech vs. Lex Luthor

The LEGO DC mech not to miss before the end of the year is, without a doubt, 76302 Superman Mech vs. Lex Luthor. Superheroes beyond the Bat-Family are increasingly uncommon in LEGO DC, and while this set isn't based on the new Superman movie, you won't want to miss out on this affordable set with two exclusive minifigures of rare characters.
