Around a quarter of LEGO BrickLink Series 10 is castle

The full roster of models in the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 10 has been confirmed, with a quarter of them being castle-adjacent.

The popularity of Castle and Castle-adjacent builds in the BrickLink Designer Program continues, but with a noteworthy drop compared to the last series. Series 10 features 599 total submissions, of which 155 are in the Medieval / Castle category. Series 9 featured 129 models in this category, out of a total of 436. Although there are fewer projects in the older round, the percentage of castle models in the series overall has decreased between Series 9 and 10.

Series 9's 129 submissions made up nearly 30% of the overall creations. Meanwhile, the 155 models of 599 total in Series 10 make up 22% of the whole round. In fact, Medieval / Castle is overtaken by Series 10's Building category in this regard.

Note that there can be overlap between categories as fans can select multiple of them for one submission. Despite this, here's a look at the different categories in Series 10 and what percentage of the total submissions they represent. The percentages won't add up to 100% because of the potential for overlap.

Looking at the Castle and Castle-adjacent submissions in Series 10, they represent a broad range of topics, still focusing on the two newest factions in the theme. Here's a brief snapshot of the 155 models in the latest series, including some builds returning from previous rounds.
