The designer behind LEGO DC 76304 Batman Forever Batmobile has revealed which parts of the build were their favourite to work on, and why.
We're just a few weeks away from the release of
"There are all sorts of interesting aspects to it," said Mark in a recent roundtable interview. "But I like that the front section is built at a 45-degree angle, that this whole thing is just not the usual orientation. It just goes on and fits, and it allows for building around the front, getting the grille pretty close to how the actual car is.

"I'm very happy with that front, but I'm pretty happy with the rake as well, figuring out the fact that it has that forward rake to the whole vehicle, making it look like it's going fast, even when it's stationary. Building that, and finding a legal way to build that, because of LEGO triangles and the way they work, that was a fun one to figure out."
The section that Mark is referring to here is right at the front of the car, just below the printed transparent blue windscreen that helps form the ribbed hood design. You can tell that it is built at an angle by looking at the light grey side-stud piece poking out of the otherwise black and dark grey vehicle. The corner of the piece is pointing forward, positioning the grills as accurately as possible.
"I kind of like the two fins above the rear wheels as well," continues Mark. "I think the whole shape of the Batmobile, with that wedge shape and those two low fins, all look nice with it.
"If I were building a spaceship, I would put a couple of fins about that distance from the cockpit to make it look good. The big fin kind of takes away from that. If I take the big fin off, I much prefer the look of this Batmobile to many of the others with the fin on. It's a little bit thin and heavy, but I like those two fins over the wheels. I think it adds a balance to it, which is then spoiled by the big fin."
Removing the larger fin shouldn't be too much of a challenge, at least, but including it keeps
