Paddington heads off on another LEGO Ideas adventure

Yet another Paddington LEGO pitch has racked up 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas, giving the plucky bear another shot if he doesn’t pass muster in the latest review.

John Cramp’s Paddington Bear project is currently being considered for production as part of the first 2025 review, the results of which are due to be announced tomorrow (October 30). We don’t yet know whether that take on this blue-coated British icon has been given the green light, but if it hasn’t, Paddington will get another chance at becoming an official LEGO Ideas set thanks to Brickicist’s buildable character.

This take on the marmalade-munching national treasure strips away the buildable backdrop of Bricked1980’s model to focus mostly on Paddington himself, though still bolsters the package with a small slice of street scenery (complete with a couple of brick-built pigeons) for a more restrained display base. The top of the bear’s hat can be removed to reveal a hidden marmalade sandwich, while the model also includes the option to display Paddington with or without his hat.

The simply-titled Paddington now enters the third 2025 review, the qualifying window for which closes in January. The LEGO Ideas team will then decide whether or not to produce it as an official set – though if John Cramp’s project gets the nod tomorrow, this one is all but toast.
