There are at least five more BrickLink Designer Program series still to come, but if it’s a new LEGO Wolfpack set you’re after specifically, this current round is essentially your last chance…
BrickHammer’s Outlaw Forest Den is one of five sets available to pre-order in Series 6 of the BrickLink Designer Program, and it’s the crowdfunded scheme’s first and only Castle set hooked to the Wolfpack. As things stand, it also looks sure to be the last of its kind, because the current Wolfpack minifigure torso is retiring at the end of 2025 along with 10332 Medieval Town Square.
The part palette available to fan designers in each series of the BDP is limited to elements currently in production, and even more specifically those that will still be in production by the time the sets in question are sent out to backers. For Series 7 that’s in July 2026; for Series 8 it’s November; and for Series 9 – the voting phase for which is underway now – it’s March 2027.
While the first few series of the program brought us multiple LEGO Castle sets themed around the Lion Knights and Black Falcons, including Mountain Fortress, Siege Encampment and Medieval Seaside Market, Series 6 is the first time a model hooked to the Wolfpack has made it to the crowdfunding stage. And whether you’re a fan of this particular set or not, it’s basically your only hope if you want a modern LEGO Wolfpack set.
The finalists for Series 7 and 8 have already been decided, and Series 9’s part palette doesn’t include the Wolfpack torso, effectively signalling the end for this faction across modern LEGO sets – unless, of course, the LEGO Group brings it back through a mainline set in 2026 or beyond. But don’t pin your hopes on that happening: following recent comments by BrickLink Designer Program Lead Alex Kastelic, there’s probably not much chance of a new Wolfpack-themed set any time soon.

“The loose rule is, is it in active development?” Alex said, referencing the list of internal IPs that are prohibited in the BrickLink Designer Program. “[If] there’s a yearly release, we’re going to stay out of that space. Modular buildings is on there, because there’s a new modular every year. Winter Village is probably one of those things too where it’s like, ‘We should probably stay away from that.’
“Where the line gets a little blurry is Castle. There are obviously releases for Castle, but they’re a little bit further in between, we’re seeing them maybe every couple of years or something like that. Same with Pirates. So those just depend on if there’s something coming down the pipeline, then we’ll steer clear of that and try to avoid that.”
Though it’s not a hard and fast rule, that very much makes it sound like if the LEGO Group did have a Wolfpack set up its sleeve – perhaps as a replacement to

All that said, between 71048 Series 27’s Wolfpack Beastmaster, 10332 Medieval Town Square and the availability of Wolfpack torsos on Pick a Brick over the past year or so, it’s not especially difficult or expensive to build your own Wolfpack contingent right now. So what else can Series 6’s Outlaw Forest Den bring to the table beyond its pieces, which are also all drawn from the regular LEGO portfolio?
Well, while it might not have any new prints or moulds, what it does have is a unique sticker sheet. Those Wolfpack banners hanging down from its tower aren’t going to turn up anywhere else, so even if you only want to align your Siege Encampment set to the Wolfpack rather than the Black Falcons or Lion Knights (the two options in the box), the Outlaw Forest Den should be on your radar.
Its contingent of detailed Wolfpack minifigures, several of which have dual-moulded or printed legs, is of course also a neat shortcut to assembling an army without navigating Pick a Brick or the aftermarket. But if you’re sitting there thinking that you might pass this one up in case a different LEGO Wolfpack set comes later down the line… chances are that’s not going to happen.
Instead, the focus for Series 9 (and presumably beyond) is on the brand new LEGO Castle factions introduced in 2025, with plenty of submissions anchored to the Kraken Warriors that debuted in 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine. And with the Lion Knights and Black Falcons also bowing out this year along with 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle, retro factions appear to be firmly in the rearview mirror for the BrickLink Designer Program.
910057 Outlaw Forest Den is available to pre-order until October 13 at 12pm PT / 8pm BST, or until all available sets are claimed. That number is a little bit more fluid this time round thanks to the program’s new real-time production allocation, so it’s tough to say when or if it might sell out.
