New LEGO Star Wars U-Wing rumoured for 2025

Another LEGO Star Wars U-Wing model is now rumoured for 2025, potentially to tie into the second season of Andor coming next year. 

Reliable Instagram user childish_landino_chronicles has shared via their Instagram Stories that the previously-rumoured 75399 LEGO Star Wars set may be a returning Rogue One starfighter. It might finally be time for another minifigure-scale LEGO U-Wing.

The U-Wing was last depicted (in full scale) in 75155 Rebel U-Wing Fighter as part of the Rogue One selection. That retired set consists of 659 pieces for £74.99 / $79.99 / €79.99 with five minifigures.

75399 is rumoured to cost $79.99 but no further details have been reported at the time of writing. Hopefully, that means the reported set could be a comparable size. Don’t expect it to include the same minifigures though, save for one character – Cassian Andor.

The release of a new U-Wing in 2025 isn’t entirely unlikely given that the second season of Andor is confirmed for next year. It will take place in fiction over multiple years leading up to Rogue One and U-Wings seem nearly certain to appear. 

Should the rumoured U-Wing be a play-centric model as it was before, it joins a surprisingly limited line-up of playsets reported for next year. Though nothing has been officially confirmed, the theme may be shifting focus towards an older demographic and display-focused models.
