New LEGO Easter GWP available now, while Shire GWP starts selling out

A new LEGO Easter gift-with-purchase is now available with qualifying orders online and in-store, while 10354 The Lord of the Rings: The Shire’s freebie is starting to sell out in some regions.

30690 Easter Egg Chick Painting Fun is free with all orders above £35 / $40 / €40 from April 3 to 13, or while stocks last, and will stack with 40761 The Lord of the Rings: Sméagol and Déagol when purchasing 10354 The Lord of the Rings: The Shire. The cute 65-piece polybag includes a chick attempting to paint an egg while holding the brush with its beak, which feels like a real test of its dexterity.

Shoppers in the US will at some point be able to find the same polybag in the Walmart-exclusive bundle 66801 Springtime Animal Play Pack, but it’s a nice little bonus for any orders you were planning to place at LEGO.com over the next couple of weeks. That includes this month’s headline release 10354 The Lord of the Rings: The Shire, which is still available in early access for LEGO Insiders – along with 40761 The Lord of the Rings: Sméagol and Déagol.

That set-specific gift-with-purchase is starting to sell out in some regions, however, such as Germany, where it’s no longer being automatically added to baskets alongside its companion model. It could theoretically disappear from LEGO.com in other countries at any minute, so best not to delay if you’re trying to decide whether to pull the trigger on this one.

40761 The Lord of the Rings: Sméagol and Déagol includes two exclusive minifigures of its eponymous stoor hobbits, along with a small diorama that recreates the birth of Gollum (and the death of Déagol). You can take a closer look at the limited-edition set in our review. Don’t forget to watch our video review of The Shire over on our YouTube channel too.
