The LEGO Group has revealed two new sets coming exclusively to LEGO.com and LEGO Stores in April 2026, including another addition to the buildable postcard collection.
These pocket money-priced sets – both of which have just landed on the official online store today – are the sort of impulse buy you might pick up on your way to the till in a LEGO Store or to bulk out an order at LEGO.com to reach a threshold for a gift-with-purchase, and in both cases they look to be pretty good bang for their buck.
Check out full details and images of both new April 2026 LEGO sets below.
40871 Gift Box Celebration
Price: £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 224 Release date: April 1, 2026
Got a birthday coming up and struggling to know what to buy? Consider 40871 Gift Box Celebration's buildable birthday paraphernalia, which includes everything from a cake and balloon animal to ice cream and fireworks. (When was the last time you celebrated your birthday with fireworks?)
The stickered ‘happy birthday’ tiles at the back bob up and down by turning the crank on the side – please leave hopes of a full jack-in-the-box feature at the door – and the finished model stands 16cm tall. The LEGO Group’s billing it as a table centrepiece for a birthday party.
40954 Germany Postcard
Price: £12.99 / $14.99 / €14.99 Pieces: 240 Release date: April 1, 2026
LEGO Creator’s postcard subtheme is alive and kicking in 2026 with 40954 Germany Postcard, which joins predecessors including Japan, London, New York, Australia and Beijing. If you can get past the mix of cities and countries there’s a lot to love for the price point, not least that there are somehow 240 pieces in the mix here.
Those make up Munich’s Town Hall, a nondescript castle and the Brandenburg Gate, along with a car, train and stickered house. You can choose between stickered Germany and Deutschland nameplates.
Neither of these sets are available to pre-order at the time of writing, so you’ll need to head to your local LEGO Store or hit up LEGO.com on April 1 to secure yours.
