A rumoured price tag for this summer’s LEGO Architecture 21063 Neuschwanstein Castle has dropped online, suggesting it will be the theme’s most expensive set yet.
2024’s 21061 Notre-Dame de Paris currently holds the crown for the most expensive LEGO Architecture set of all time at £199.99 in the UK, $229.99 in the US and from €229.99 in Europe. But its reign may be short-lived, as redditor Clay_Bricks reports (via Brick_Clicker) that this summer’s rumoured 21063 Neuschwanstein Castle will retail for a whopping $269.99 in the US.
The August 1 set is said to recreate the historic German palace with 3,455 pieces, which is actually almost 1,000 fewer parts than make up Notre-Dame. This price tag does feel a little more in line with 21062 Trevi Fountain, the first LEGO Architecture 2025 set that drops on March 1, but the price-per-piece ratio will likely be underwhelming for those who snapped up the Parisian cathedral last year.
Price-per-piece isn’t everything, though – and what remains to be seen is the final volume of 21063 Neuschwanstein Castle, which could well be grander in scope and use larger elements than 21061 Notre-Dame de Paris. That’s assuming these rumours are true at all, of course. Until we get actual confirmation from the LEGO Group, best to take it all lightly just in case.
