Merry Christmas and happy holidays from Brick Fanatics

Merry Christmas and happy holidays from the Brick Fanatics team!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year already, again, somehow. I’m sure I blinked and the entire year zipped by.

I don’t know if this is the case in other lines of work – I’ve been at this too long – but there’s this strange phenomenon in news writing where every story feels like it happened yesterday, or at most last week. So while putting together our list of the top 15 LEGO news stories of 2025 earlier this week, I had what could really only be described as a series of mini existential crises: that happened in January? These sets came out in June? Where is my life going?

In hindsight, it’s probably just because so much went down in 2025: the LEGO Group released hundreds of new sets, announced a bunch of new themes and dropped the ball a few times too. So it goes. Here at Brick Fanatics HQ we covered it all, whether on the website or our YouTube channel (or both!), and brought you along for the ride. So, thanks for tuning in this year!

Want to make sure you haven’t missed anything? Here’s that full list of the biggest news stories of the year. We’ve also been taking various strolls down memory lane through our wider 2025 in review content, from the best sets and minifigures of the year to the biggest surprises, reflections on a year of Formula 1 and a bumper year for LEGO Ideas.

Hopefully that gives you ample reading material over the festive period, in between building all the new LEGO sets piled up under the tree. If, like me, you tend to pop YouTube on while building, here are some of my favourite videos Matthew’s produced this year for you to catch up on…

For now, the Brick Fanatics team is briefly downing tools for a well-earned festive break. We’ve still got a few cool bits and pieces going up on the site over the next few days, so check back when you’ve a moment between opening presents, chowing down on turkey and pulling crackers. We’ll be back at our desks on Saturday, and in the meantime, season’s greetings, happy holidays and Merry Christmas from us all!
