LEGOLAND Windsor celebrates King Charles' coronation

LEGOLAND Windsor has continued its tradition of commemorating royal events for its population of Minilanders with a display for the coronation.

With its proximity to the late Queen's favoured home of Windsor Castle, LEGOLAND Windsor has often built tiny versions of major royal events in its LEGO city, celebrating moments like the then-Cambridges' move and the Platinum Jubilee, as well as paying respects to Queen Elizabeth II upon her death.

Now, just weeks away from King Charles III's coronation, LEGOLAND Windsor has captured the festivities in Minilander-scale detail. The existing Buckingham Palace model has been revamped with trestle tables for people to celebrate the King's ascension.

King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla are in prime position on the royal balcony, to wave to the public lining the gates and the Mall.

Outside in the gardens, there's a concert for Katy Perry, Take That, and Lionel Richie to perform for their royal guests. For extra authentic detail, the LEGOLAND Windsor team has also created a tiny crown for King Charles to wear throughout the celebrations.

It took Legoland more than 1,000 hours to build the new models, using 32,000 LEGO elements in total. You'll be able to see the display in person until November, with online tickets starting from £34 and available to book in advance via the website.
