If this year’s LEGO Marvel advent calendar hasn’t caught your attention, you might want to look to the X-Mansion for your next Xmas build…
76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion hits shelves on November 1 for LEGO Insiders (and November 4 for everyone else), and it turns out it’s perfectly timed for the festive season. Like 21330 Home Alone managed back in 2021, the latest Marvel modular building contains exactly the right number of bags required to spread it out over the advent period.
“The cool thing with this is you get 24 bags, so if you wanted to you could build one every day for the festive season,” LEGO designer Justin Ramsden revealed to MiniSuperHeroesToday. And while 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion obviously isn’t tailored to Xmas in the same way 21330 Home Alone is anchored firmly to the festive period, it does include a holiday minifigure… of sorts.
“You actually end on bag 24 – spoiler – with Magneto,” Justin added. “So I like to think of him as some sort of Santa Claus-like figure, with his white hair and his red clothes. I don’t know what Marvel would say about that but I think it’ll be fine. Magneto is Santa, sorry!”
At £289.99 / $329.99 / €329.99, 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion is obviously a much bigger holiday investment than 76293 Spider-Man 2024 Advent Calendar, but then you will get to build an entire bag of pieces per day rather than a tiny mini-model or a minifigure. And at 3,093 pieces total, that works out to an average of 129 pieces per bag. Not bad for a daily build.
76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion will be available to buy from November 1.
