LEGO Transformers 10338 Bumblebee officially revealed

The LEGO Group has officially revealed 10338 Bumblebee, the latest Transformers set from its ongoing partnership with Hasbro and the follow-up to 2022’s 10302 Optimus Prime.

Arriving on shelves on July 1 for LEGO Insiders (and July 4 for everyone else) for £79.99 / $89.99 / €89.99, 10338 Bumblebee recreates the G1 Transformers character using 950 pieces. Built to the same scale as 10302 Optimus Prime, the LEGO Group is billing it as ‘a vital companion’ that ‘completes the iconic duo’. And like Optimus before it, Bumblebee can transform from vehicle to robot without any disassembly.

That’s the key selling point of these LEGO Transformers sets, the first of which dropped in 2022 to widespread surprise – not least because it represents the LEGO Group working with an industry rival in Hasbro. But that partnership appears to be bearing fruit given we’re now two years on and seeing another addition to the LEGO Transformers line-up.

As well as the ability to transform between its two states, 10338 Bumblebee features articulated joints, a jetpack and an ion blaster, and is accompanied by a stickered display plaque. In robot form, the yellow action figure stands 25cm tall, 8cm wide and 11cm deep.

LEGO Icons 10338 Bumblebee launches at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores exclusively for Insiders on July 1 – before going on sale to everyone else on July 4 – for £79.99 / $89.99 / €89.99.
