LEGO teases Donkey Kong announcement: 'there’s plenty more where that came from'

The LEGO Group is teasing something special across on Instagram, promising that ‘there’s plenty more where that came from’.

A short teaser clip offers the first look at a collaboration with Donkey Kong. The footage shows a classic Donkey Kong barrel – made of LEGO bricks – rolling across a surface, with both the LEGO and Donkey Kong logos appearing above it.

Although LEGO Donkey Kong has previously appeared within the LEGO Super Mario line, this latest reveal could suggest a separate, dedicated Donkey Kong focused line may now be on the way. Or, it could just be he is returning to LEGO Super Mario sets.

Earlier rumours from March suggested that a previously reported Mario-themed arcade machine set could have shifted to a Donkey Kong version instead, potentially numbered 72051 Donkey Kong Arcade Machine

This would move the spotlight away from Mario and place it firmly on one of his most iconic rivals.

The rumoured set is said to include 1,367 pieces and may take inspiration from 10323 PAC-MAN Arcade, albeit at a smaller scale if the piece count proves accurate.

For now, all details remain unconfirmed. The LEGO Group has not officially revealed the set, so these details should be treated as speculation. What is certain, however, is that more LEGO Donkey Kong content is on the way.
