Not nearly as expensive as we'd expect.

LEGO Star Wars' new AT-AT is an oddly good deal

LEGO Star Wars' latest AT-AT has shocked the community with its reasonable price tag, relative to the contents, which isn't common for the theme these days.

LEGO Star Wars 75454 Imperial Remnant AT-AT with INT-4 was revealed yesterday and is set for release on August 1, with 1,453 pieces and seven minifigures. Some of those minifigures are even exclusive with a unique piece.

It's a promising package on paper, but typically, such LEGO Star Wars models come at a high cost relative to the contents. For instance, 75447 The Razor Crest has only 930 pieces and four minifigures for £139.99 / $149.99 / €149.99, and is even based on the same film.

Much to everyone's surprise, 75454 Imperial Remnant AT-AT with INT-4 is only £139.99 / $159.99 / €159.99, costing the same as the new Razor Crest in the UK, or only $10 and €10 more for 500 more elements and three additional minifigures. It's a genuinely decent deal, at least by the statistics.

Even compared to the last play-scale AT-AT from 2020, 75454 Imperial Remnant AT-AT with INT-4 stands out as a good deal. 75288 AT-AT has only 1,267 pieces and six minifigures for £149.99 / $169.99 / €169.99. The 2026 version comes with an additional INT-4 in comparison, but is smaller at 32cm tall, rather than the 34cm of the 2020 model.

Following the reveal, the LEGO Star Wars crowd on Reddit were quick to comment on the surprising pack tag, acknowledging that the price isn't nearly as bad as it could have been.

"Almost twice the piece count for the same price as 75413 Republic Juggernaut (seriously, what happened there)," commented Dener_.

"Yeah, it’s not worse compared to other licensed themes. Like, obviously it could be cheaper, but compared to some of the other sets we’ve seen the last couple years, this isn’t bad at all," pointed out FoggyBricks.

"I could have done without the side builds and some of the minifigs to help drop it down, but honestly, it's not bad for a Star Wars set these days," added Insanepaco247. "Hell of a lot better than the Republic Juggernaut and Separatist MTT with 2/3 to half the piece count. That wave had me really worried."

It's all looking good for 75454 Imperial Remnant AT-AT with INT-4 ahead of August 1, when it will launch for £139.99 / $159.99 / €159.99.
