Just over a dozen LEGO Star Wars sets are leaving shelves in July, so May the 4th is probably your best bet for grabbing them before they’re gone – but which ones are worth picking up?
Our retiring LEGO set guides towards the end of 2025 offered guidance on particular models to buy, wait for a deal on, or skip altogether. This time round we’re focusing specifically on LEGO Star Wars ahead of this year’s May the 4th deals, and those sets retiring this summer (at the time of writing).
For each one we’ll either recommend buying it during May the 4th or passing up altogether, because waiting for a deal doesn’t factor into the equation as much here: you’re already getting up to two gifts-with-purchase between May 1 and 6 (while stocks last), outlined in the table below, and some of these sets may be discounted as part of the wider LEGO May the 4th deals in 2026 anyway.
LEGO Star Wars May the 4th 2026 GWPs
| LEGO Star Wars GWP | Qualifying spend | Availability (while stocks last) |
|---|---|---|
| 40917 The Darksaber | £145 / $160 / €160 on LEGO Star Wars sets | May 1 to 6, 2026 |
| 5010320 The Mandalorian and Grogu Display | May 1 to 6, 2026 | |
| 30728 The Razor Crest | £35 / $40 / €40 on selected LEGO Star Wars sets | May 1 to 6, 2026 |
Check out all 13 retiring LEGO Star Wars sets below, and let us know in the comments if any of these are high up your wishlist for May the 4th this year.
75325 The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter
Price: £59.99 / $59.99 / €64.99 Pieces: 412 Release date: Jun 1, 2022

The LEGO Group is about to debut an Ultimate Collector Series version of this ship for May the 4th, almost four years after the playset version landed on shelves. Does that make 75325 The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter redundant? Not if you only have the budget and shelf space for this smaller and cheaper set.
But given it’s fading in relevance (the Razor Crest is back on the scene in The Mandalorian & Grogu) and it’s been heavily discounted elsewhere over the past few years, it’s hard to recommend picking this one up at this point – there are more interesting LEGO Star Wars sets out there.
Verdict: Skip
75333 Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter
Price: £29.99 / $29.99 / €34.99 Pieces: 282 Release date: Aug 1, 2022

Another veteran LEGO Star Wars set that’s coming up to four years on shelves,
Verdict: Buy
75337 AT-TE Walker
Price: £119.99 / $139.99 / €139.99 Pieces: 1,082 Release date: Aug 1, 2022

Not many LEGO Star Wars playsets stay in production as long as the N-1, Obi-Wan’s starfighter or 75337 AT-TE Walker, so you know they’re doing something right. This one is the best iteration of this six-legged walker so far, and comes with a killer minifigure line-up that includes an exclusive Commander Cody in his Phase 2 armour, three 212th Legion Clone Troopers, a Clone Gunner and a handful of Battle Droids.
It’s easily one of the best LEGO Star Wars sets of the past few years and deserves a place in any prequel trilogy collection, so if you don’t have it yet make sure to snap it up during May the 4th. We wouldn’t be surprised to see this one hold firm at full price, but it may enjoy bonus Insiders points – and either way it’ll get you towards those GWPs.
Verdict: Buy
75345 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack
Price: £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 119 Release date: Jan 1, 2023

Remember when 501st Legion Clone Troopers were a novelty? It seems like a lifetime ago, mostly because at this point they’re pretty played out. If you want to add some diversity to your 501st army you could do far worse than 75345 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack, but other than helping you over the threshold for 40917 The Darksaber it doesn’t feel like a high-priority LEGO Star Wars set this year.
Verdict: Skip
75347 TIE Bomber
Price: £59.99 / $64.99 / €64.99 Pieces: 625 Release date: Jan 1, 2023

It took 20 years to get a new LEGO Star Wars TIE Bomber playset, and 75347 TIE Bomber was very much worth the wait when it landed in stores in 2023. The play function might not be all that (mostly due to the limited space available), but it totally looks the part, has a more interesting minifigure line-up than you’d expect and – most importantly – probably won’t be seen in LEGO again for a very long time.
Verdict: Buy
75349 Captain Rex Helmet
Price: £59.99 / $69.99 / €69.99 Pieces: 854 Release date: Mar 1, 2023

One of the few LEGO Star Wars helmets still in production, 75349 Captain Rex Helmet is also one of only three prequel trilogy characters in the collection. Is that alone enough to recommend buying it before it’s gone for good? Not really, but it helps that it’s also a successful rendition of this unique Clone Trooper helmet that will marry up nicely with the Captain Rex minifigure further down this list.
If you’re even vaguely interested in it, May the 4th is the time to pull the trigger, but this isn’t quite as enthusiastic a recommendation as the AT-TE or TIE Bomber, for instance.
Verdict: Buy
75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer
Price: £59.99 / $69.99 / €69.99 Pieces: 630 Release date: May 1, 2023

The original LEGO Star Wars Starship Collection model is on the way out this summer too, and while the series has veered off into slightly more obscure territory in the years since, 75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer is perhaps still the set to beat at this scale. Whether you’re gunning for a complete collection or just want one midi-scale Star Wars set in your life, this is one to grab.
Verdict: Buy
75373 Ambush on Mandalore Battle Pack
Price: £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 109 Release date: Jun 1, 2024

Some LEGO Star Wars sets are unlikely to ever be revisited, and that often makes them an easy recommendation. But then there’s something like 75373 Ambush on Mandalore Battle Pack: a set we’re unlikely to see again, with minifigures that are equally unlikely to return, yet is difficult to hype up.
Season 3 of The Mandalorian is pretty much universally agreed to be a low point for the show, and this fleeting moment in Star Wars history isn’t destined to become as iconic as some of the other sets on this list. Plus, its counterpart 75386 Paz Vizsla and Moff Gideon Battle has already retired…
Verdict: Skip
75388 Jedi Bob's Starfighter
Price: £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99 Pieces: 305 Release date: Aug 1, 2024

Verdict: Buy
75391 Captain Rex Y-Wing Microfighter
Price: £11.99 / $12.99 / €12.99 Pieces: 99 Release date: Jun 1, 2024

Is this the best LEGO Star Wars minifigure ever to be included in a Microfighter? It’s certainly the most controversial, having been plucked directly from the far more expensive 75367 Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser. But at just £11.99 / $12.99 / €12.99 it’s an easy and essential purchase for Clone Wars fans, so if you haven’t yet gotten around to buying it, toss it in your bag for May the 4th.
Verdict: Buy
75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor
Price: £39.99 / $44.99 / €44.99 Pieces: 290 Release date: Jan 1, 2025

One of three January 2025 releases that’s on the way out this July – marking a relatively short shelf life all things considered –
Pair that with a price tag that far outweighs any positives to this set (like its new Ahsoka minifigure), and it’s not one to worry too much about during May the 4th this year. Point your LEGO Star Wars budget elsewhere…
Verdict: Skip
75404 Acclamator-class Assault Ship
Price: £44.99 / $49.99 / €49.99 Pieces: 450 Release date: Jan 1, 2025

Remember when we mentioned the Starship Collection had started to get pretty niche? Cue 75404 Acclamator-class Assault Ship, a midi-scale version of a capital ship we’ve never before seen in LEGO Star Wars and may never again. But unless you’ve got a particular fascination with Republic cruisers, it’s hard to say this one deserves a spot in your collection above more iconic ships in this series.
Verdict: Skip
75405 Home One Starcruiser
Price: £59.99 / $69.99 / €69.99 Pieces: 559 Release date: Jan 1, 2025

75405 Home One Starcruiser is also the first of its kind for LEGO Star Wars, and it’s much more iconic than the Acclamator. Those two factors don’t necessarily save it from being shaped a bit like dog poo, though – even if the fault there really does lie with the combination of the source material and this particular scale. There are better sets in this collection, so only completists need apply.
