One of the best LEGO gifts-with-purchase from last year sold out within hours in most regions – but is having an extended stay in Australia.
40368 Type-15 Shuttlepod launched in a perfect storm last year. Not only was it tied to the very first (and highly anticipated) LEGO Star Trek set, but it also featured an exclusive minifigure and a genuinely impressive build on its own two feet.
That predictably led to a successful reception, with the LEGO Star Trek GWP, exclusively available with purchases of 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D, selling out in most regions in a matter of hours. That wasn't the case in all regions, however, with a seeming excess of copies available in Australia.
40368 Type-15 Shuttlepod was first extended in Australia in December of last year, with the availability increased to March 1, 2026. Now that date is around the corner, the GWP has been extended once again, now available until August 31, 2026. Considering the GWP launched on November 28, that's around nine months of availability, compared to just a few hours in other regions around the world.
Considering BrickLink's data shows the GWP can fetch an average of £73.08 on the secondhand market, it's good news for Australian LEGO fans and there's seemingly no rush to get your hands on 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D and its exclusive GWP. That said, it's best not to get complacent even now. The LEGO Group's dates are only indicative of how long the GWP can be available, but it could always sell out sooner.
