LEGO Classic Space purple air tanks back in stock at Pick a Brick

Two hard-to-find LEGO pieces are back in stock at Pick a Brick online, including the purple Classic Space air tanks – just in time for the purple helmets to reappear in a new gift-with-purchase.

You’ll have to be quick if you want to get your hands on any of the purple air tanks, which regularly sell out through Pick a Brick and are generally difficult to come by. They’ve only appeared in two sets so far – 80111 Lunar New Year Parade and 60361 Ultimate Stunt Riders Challenge – but are essential to building your own purple LEGO Classic Space astronaut.

They’re available through Pick a Brick for just 20p each, which is much cheaper than you’ll find them on BrickLink in the UK (prices from British sellers start at £1.23 per element). But they probably won’t last long – and nor will Luke Skywalker’s new hairpiece from 75352 Emperor’s Throne Room Diorama, which is useful for retrofitting your existing collection of Return of the Jedi Luke minifigures.

Luke's new wig also sold out quickly after debuting on Pick a Brick earlier this month, but is now back in stock and available to order. It’s slightly more expensive than the air tanks at £1.06 per piece, but this is your only realistic way of buying multiples at the moment, as there are none for sale on BrickLink at the time of writing.

The purple air tanks and Luke’s hair are both listed as Standard parts on Pick a Brick, which means they’ll deliver within 28 business days from Denmark. You’ll also need to order at least £10 of Standard parts to avoid a £5 service fee, but that shouldn’t be too difficult if you have plenty of Luke Skywalker minifigures to retrofit with new hairpieces.

It’s also a well-timed return for the purple air tanks, as the corresponding purple Classic Space helmet – only available so far in 80111 Lunar New Year Parade – is about to make a comeback in 40608 Halloween Fun VIP Add-On Pack. At least two helmets are included in the polybag, which will presumably drop as a gift-with-purchase in October.
