A third LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog set has now been officially confirmed for 2025 in the shape of 77002 Cyclone vs. Metal Sonic.
During a recent Sonic Central event, two new LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog sets were unveiled, with both upcoming builds scheduled to launch on January 1, 2025.
A previous rumour had suggested that a third LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog set would also be arriving on the same date, with some hints as to what that mystery model might be. Thanks to the official Building Instructions page, we now know that slotting in-between those two releases will indeed be 77002 Cyclone vs. Metal Sonic.

While there’s currently no listing for the set on LEGO.com just yet, the initial report regarding the model suggests it may include 290 pieces for $35, but that remains mere speculation for now.

However, what we do know is that 77002 Cyclone vs. Metal Sonic will come with a Tails minifigure, the character’s transforming Cyclone vehicle and the first-ever version of Sonic’s Badnik counterpart.
At this stage, there are no details as to whether the latter will be a minifigure version of Metal Sonic or a brick-built version of the video game villain. There are also no hints as to when full images and official information regarding the LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog will be revealed, but it could be imminent.
