LEGO slashes prices on retiring Harry Potter sets for Back to Hogwarts event

LEGO Insiders can currently claim exclusive discounts on five retiring LEGO Harry Potter sets, including 75978 Diagon Alley and 76391 Hogwarts Icons Collectors’ Edition.

This year’s Back to Hogwarts event is headlined by 76457 Hogsmeade Village Collectors’ Edition, but if you’re more interested in catching up on older retiring Wizarding World sets before they’re gone for good, these are the deals for you. From September 1 to 7, the LEGO Group is offering exclusive LEGO Insiders prices on five Harry Potter sets, with discounts totalling 20% off.

While discounts on Hagrid’s Hut and Ollivanders have been pretty easy to come by since they launched last year, the Durmstrang Ship is only available through limited third-party retailers, so it’s not seen as many deals as its magical contemporaries. The best savings here though are on Diagon Alley and Hogwarts Icons, both of which are available exclusively at LEGO.com.

They’re also both retiring for good at the end of 2025, so this is likely your last chance to grab either or both of them with any sort of discount. And it might just be the best time to take the plunge full stop, as two gifts-with-purchase are currently available with qualifying LEGO Harry Potter purchases. Spend £35 / $40 / €40 to receive 30706 Quidditch Lesson, or bump your total to £115 / $130 / €130 to qualify for 40770 Hogwarts Castle: Room of Requirement.

Both those freebies stack, so either 75978 Diagon Alley or 76391 Hogwarts Icons Collectors’ Edition will get you the pair in a single order. Head over to LEGO.com to take advantage of these Wizarding World deals while stocks last – Diagon Alley is already on back order in the UK and Germany…
