Every LEGO set retiring in 2024 – September update

Just when you thought the list of LEGO sets retiring in 2024 was pretty much locked in, the LEGO Group goes and makes a couple of last-minute changes…

Chances are you’ve been busy planning your purchases for the last few months of 2024 based on what’s about to leave shelves, which is the smart thing to do if you’ve not yet caught up on your wishlist (and that probably describes most of us). But the LEGO Group is throwing a tiny spanner in the works this month by shuffling around a few BrickHeadz sets.

One longstanding LEGO Star Wars two-pack is now leaving shelves in 2025 rather than 2024, but two single statuettes have been moved up from 2025 to retire this year instead. You can find those changes detailed in their relevant sections below. If BrickHeadz aren’t on your radar, it’s still worth surfing through the entire list to double-check what you should be prioritising as we near the end of 2024.

Remember that any of these sets could have already left production based on current supply and demand, and so they could conceivably sell out at any time between now and December 31.

LEGO Star Wars retiring sets 2024

40547 Obi-Wan Kenobi & Darth Vader has moved out of the list of LEGO Star Wars sets retiring this year, extending its lifespan beyond the end of 2024. There are still a bunch of heavy hitters leaving shelves within the next few months, though – including 75313 AT-AT.

LEGO Ideas retiring sets 2024

LEGO Ideas' list of retiring sets for this year remains unchanged this month but as we wave goodbye to summer in the northern hemisphere, let this be a reminder that 21318 Tree House – and its alternate autumnal foliage – is leaving shelves soon.

LEGO Marvel retiring sets 2024

There's nothing new to be aware of for LEGO Marvel's selection of retiring sets this month, but there's not long left for Iron Man enthusiasts to grab 76210 Hulkbuster, whether you'll be keeping the base build or opting for the fan-made design.

LEGO Harry Potter retiring sets 2024

It's a big month for Harry Potter enthusiasts as a new term starts at Hogwarts (fictionally) and a new Harry Potter Quidditch game launches. While there's no changes to note regarding the list of retiring Wizarding World sets, 76416 Quidditch Trunk is still in the selection as the most complete Quidditch set so far.

LEGO Indiana Jones retiring sets 2024

The adventure may still be over for LEGO Indiana Jones soon as the entire theme is slated to retire at the end of 2024 (unless it's only going on hiatus). That includes Brick Fanatics' top LEGO set of 2023 in 77015 Temple of the Golden Idol.

LEGO Technic retiring sets 2024

After five years on shelves, time may finally be up for 42096 Porsche 911 RSR as part of the still-extensive LEGO Technic 2024 retiring sets list.

LEGO Icons retiring sets 2024

The last few months of the year are upon us and that means time is running out to pick up 10274 Ghostbusters ECTO-1. The only LEGO Ghostbusters set currently available is one of several LEGO Icons builds leaving shelves this year.

LEGO Architecture retiring sets 2024

LEGO Architecture remains steadfast in its retirement of two sets by the end of the year, among which is one of the theme's few remaining skylines.

LEGO NINJAGO retiring sets 2024

Of the many retiring LEGO NINJAGO sets, we're highlighting 71793 Heatwave Transforming Lava Dragon this month for featuring an important character in the recent series – Heatwave, Wyldfyre's adoptive draconic parent. Otherwise, there's no changes to be aware of for the in-house theme.

LEGO DREAMZzz retiring sets 2024

LEGO DREAMZzz sets seem to have a relatively short shelf life, as most of the theme's earliest sets – which only debuted a year ago – are on the way out soon. They're joined by a handful of 2024 sets, including the cute and affordable 71472 Izzie's Narwhal Hot-Air Balloon.

LEGO Batman / DC Super Heroes retiring sets 2024

A couple of the biggest LEGO Batman sets around right now are on the brink of retiring for good, including the relatively recent 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box. It's a divisive Bat-set for sure, but best not to miss out if you've been considering it.

LEGO Super Mario retiring sets 2024

The first LEGO Super Mario direct-to-consumer set is finally retiring after four years on shelves, so make sure to bump 71374 Nintendo Entertainment System to the top of your wishlist if you haven't already.

LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog retiring sets 2024

A quartet of LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog sets are still leaving shelves by the end of 2024, including the sprawling 76994 Sonic's Green Hill Zone Loop Challenge.

LEGO Creator retiring sets 2024

The same selection of LEGO Creator 3-in-1 models are still retiring in 2024, including the longstanding 31120 Medieval Castle and the theme's biggest set of all time in 31141 Main Street.

LEGO Speed Champions retiring sets 2024

If you've got your sights set on the two new LEGO Formula 1 cars released under the Speed Champions banner in 2024, make sure to catch up on 76909 Mercedes-AMG F1 W12 E Performance & Mercedes-AMG Project One for a complete starting grid while you still can.
