The LEGO Group’s return policy will reportedly change from June, reducing the amount of time available to send back unwanted sets free of charge.
According to Hoth Bricks, you’ll only have 35 days to send back any products purchased directly from LEGO.com or LEGO Stores as of June 1 – marking a significant reduction from the current return policy of 90 days. The window will presumably continue to kick in from the moment you receive your order (rather than place it), as per the current terms and conditions.
That said, 35 days is still pretty generous – you’ve got over a month to change your mind – and the LEGO Group’s refund policy is apparently unaffected. That means you’ll still receive your refund within 14 days of the company taking receipt of your return parcel.
The change has not yet been communicated elsewhere (and is not yet reflected at LEGO.com), but Hoth Bricks reports that it will go live alongside the 70+ new sets launching at midnight. Given we haven’t had confirmation from the LEGO Group directly, this is a story to treat as a rumour for now, and to subsequently take with the usual grain of salt.
