Adding a splash of colour and Latin American flavour to a new LEGO gift-with-purchase collection comes 40907 Restaurants of the World: Mexico.

Following on from late February/early March’s 40906 Restaurants of the World: Japan comes a second addition to this new collection of world-themed food stalls in the form of 40907 Restaurants of the World: Mexico.

40907 Restaurants of the World: Mexico is available from April 10 to April 19 at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores, awarded free to LEGO Insiders with purchases* of £160 / $180 / €180, while stocks last.

40906 Restaurants of the World: Japan was an excellent start to this four-set collection of gifts-with-purchase, and pleasingly 40907 Restaurants of the World: Mexico very much follows the same format with similarly impressive results.

Importantly, though, that’s within the context of a Mexican-themed food stall, so whilst the basic premise and dimensions mirror those of the sushi-themed stall, this latest one is packed with details that reflect not only the food being served, but how it is prepared too, and the general theming of the stand as a whole.

This collection is already halfway through completion with two more due later in the coming months, but it is shaping up to be one of the best themed runs that have been offered as GWPs in recent years. Techniques are interesting, parts usage is creative, parts selection is really useful if you want to build something else, and the all-round theming and design feels both authentic and fun.
