I've already put in my LEGO Pokémon order, but with March 1 around the corner, I'm planning another shop very soon.
I was up at midnight to secure 40911 Mini Pokémon Center, checking out quickly with 72151 Eevee to make sure my copies of both shipped soon. My haste might have been overkill, considering all of the above (as well as the previously elusive 40892 Kanto Region Badge Collection) are still available to buy now.
That said, you never know when things are going to sell out, so I don't regret my quick clicks at midnight. It also isn't going to stop me from making another purchase on March 1 this weekend – there are just too many good sets hitting shelves next month at reasonable prices for me to resist.
The first two sets on my list are LEGO Botanicals sets. As someone who loves keeping fresh flowers around the flat, I'm a sucker for a good brick-built bouquet that only requires dusting. That's not instead of my fresh flowers, but a nice addition that helps both fake and real flowers look better.
With that in mind, I cannot wait to pick up both 11502 Sunflower Bouquet and 11510 Magnolia Branches. The former is colourful and large enough to stand alone on display, but I'm looking forward to incorporating 11510 Magnolia Branches into some of my existing bouquets. The warm brown tones and the pop of colour in the petals should pair nicely with the range of flowers you find in other sets, and I'm keen to experiment with the differences in style and texture.
Elsewhere, the Formula 1 season is almost close enough to touch, and I'm welcoming the sports season back with two budget-friendly purchases: 77258 F1 ACADEMY LEGO Race Car and 77259 Audi Revolut F1 Team R26.
The latter is largely because I like having my up-to-date grid of LEGO Speed Champions Formula 1 cars on the wall. While there's no Cadillac in sight (annoyingly, come on Speed Champions), I do need to replace my copy of 77247 KICK Sauber F1 Team C44 with 77259 Audi Revolut F1 Team R26 to keep it accurate.
While 77258 F1 ACADEMY LEGO Race Car technically isn't a Formula 1 car, as a female motorsports fan, it's great to see the LEGO Group getting stuck into the women-only championship – and looking great while doing it. The vibrant colours of the set would be enough to catch my attention, even if I wasn't going to be keeping an eye out for how the LEGO-sponsored team will do in F1 Academy this year.
All in all, these purchases will take my basket to around £150, which isn't bad in my book for four sets – all of which I've been waiting for for a while now.
