The LEGO Group has made the official building instructions for 40892 Kanto Region Badge Collection available for all.
After a LEGO YouTuber recreated a near-perfect version of 40892 Kanto Region Badge Collection for people to build who missed out on the LEGO Pokémon GWP, the LEGO Group has just made it even easier to create. The official instructions have been uploaded to the building instructions page, so you can now build your very own 40892 Kanto Region Badge Collection without shelling out £579.99 / $649.99 / €649.99 for 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise.
Of course, you'll still need to buy the pieces individually via LEGO Pick a Brick or BrickLink, but that will still be considerably cheaper than the minimum spend for the GWP, or the amounts that 40892 Kanto Region Badge Collection continues to fetch on secondhand markets. The average price on BrickLink is £136.09, so if you want to get your hands on the exclusive LEGO Pokémon set, the cheapest way is to go piece by piece.
You won't get the stickers included in 40892 Kanto Region Badge Collection, so some of the badges won't look quite as they would if you bought the official set. However, those are some small details to put up with for the difference in cost.
