LEGO One Piece is officially a LEGO Pirates comeback

The LEGO Group's labelling of a LEGO One Piece Season 2 set on the online store confirms that the theme is more than just a Pirates stand-in.

The listing for 75646 Garp's Marine Battleship on LEGO.com has something different compared to every other One Piece set. The text to the left above the set name is intended to state the theme, which should be 'One Piece' as it states on the listing for every other set in the theme.

Instead, the theme for 75646 Garp's Marine Battleship is stated to be Pirates. While the official online store has a section for interests named 'Pirate', 'Pirates', plural, is the name of the original LEGO theme about seafaring adventures and swashbucklers.

It's the only LEGO One Piece set labelled as part of LEGO Pirates instead of the licensed theme. Not even 75639 The Going Merry Pirate Ship is listed as such, despite its name.

LEGO One Piece has proven itself an effective avenue for bringing back LEGO Pirates with the strength of a licensed property, even attracting those with no desire for pirates. Now the LEGO Group has either admitted or mistakenly identified one of the theme's sets as a Pirates model.
