Minecraft Live has revealed some new LEGO Minecraft news, diving into the recently-revealed set and joining the game itself in its most tangible form yet.
Another Minecraft Live has ended, bringing with it plenty of announcements for the game and the wider franchise. While there was no theme park land announced this time, there was a lot for LEGO fans to take interest in, and we've summarised the lot for you.
Read on to get all caught up on this month's Minecraft Live and how it relates to the future of LEGO Minecraft.
LEGO Minecraft Chicken Mounts add-on
One of the most surprising announcements from the event was the official LEGO Minecraft Chicken Mounts add-on, made in partnership with Noxcrew and approved by the Minecraft team. The free add-on, which is available now, adds a variety of LEGO chickens to the game, which you can customise and rebuild.
It's the first time that LEGO has officially tangibly entered the game. There have been several official skins inspired by LEGO minifigures, but the physical elements have never been in-game as part of the partnership.
Deep dive into the new LEGO Minecraft Dungeons II set
Part of the Minecraft Live event also took the opportunity to take a closer look at 21591 The Twisted Warden Battle, with a LEGO designer on hand to show off its features. The full segment is worth a watch, and it starts at 13 minutes and 33 seconds.
The designer discusses the fact that the Twisted Warden model can eat a minifigure, as well as the fact that the team have multiple Minecraft servers to play the game.
The inevitable Minecraft movie sequel

While not directly related to LEGO Minecraft (yet), it was also announced formally that A Minecraft Movie is getting a sequel, adding Squared to the title. The plot of the sequel was teased in the new footage, though there's not much to see for now.
The first Minecraft Movie received two tie-in models with some unusual minifigures for the theme. It seems likely that the second will get more, though this is yet to be confirmed.
That brings another Minecraft Live to a close, but don't forget that several new LEGO Minecraft sets will be released early next week.
