The new 15th-anniversary LEGO NINJAGO board game Destiny’s Bounty Adventures is now available to pre-order ahead of its July release – and it’s already discounted…
The first fully-fledged NINJAGO board game is a co-operative family title that casts players in the role of four ninja – Kai, Cole, Nya and Zane – as they fend off various villains from across the series’ history. And it’s already up for pre-order at selected retailers, including Zavvi in the UK, where you can currently buy it for only £28.99 – or 17% off its £34.99 RRP.
Each round of Destiny’s Bounty Adventures will see new villains boarding the ninjas’ ship, which players must then work together to fend off, managing limited resources and coordinating both movement and abilities. Your reward will be new ninja gear for your character, delivered in the form of 124 LEGO pieces used to upgrade the included four physical LEGO minifigures. Among those is a new and exclusive Nya minifigure.
The game accommodates two to four players and is aimed at ages 8+. A single game should take somewhere around 30 minutes to play, and with multiple scenarios in the box – plus variable encounters and modular setups – it sounds like there’ll be a lot of replayability. If you’re in the US, you can pre-order LEGO NINJAGO Destiny’s Bounty Adventures directly from publisher Asmodee for $39.99.
