LEGO NINJAGO Adventure Atlas to include updated 2025 minifigure

An upcoming LEGO NINJAGO book due out next year has swapped its previously expected included minifigure for a new 2025 variant.

The LEGO NINJAGO theme will be kicking off 2025 with a bang, thanks to the imminent arrival of 11 new sets on January 1. Fans can expect the usual mix of vehicles, mechs and locations, as well as villainous Dragonian foes and updated designs for the core cast of characters.

Also on the horizon for 2025 is an upcoming LEGO NINJAGO book from DK that’s due to be published on June 5, 2025. While we’ve already had a first look at LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising Adventure Atlas: Journey Through the World of NINJAGO, the minifigure we were expecting to be included in the title has now been changed.

While the previous listing for LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising Adventure Atlas: Journey Through the World of NINJAGO featured an image of the same Kai minifigure than can be found in the likes of this year’s 71822 Source Dragon of Motion on its cover, that’s now not the case.

Instead, fans can expect to add a new 2025 variant of the fiery fighter to their collections, with the latest look for Kai popping up in in three LEGO NINJAGO sets launching on January 1. The torso and legs of Kai match those in 71823 Kai’s Dragon Spinjitzu, 71830 Kai’s Mech Storm Rider and 71831 Ninja Spinjitzu Temple, with the character’s trademark red bandana and spiky brown hair piece returning from previous builds.

LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising Adventure Atlas: Journey Through the World of NINJAGO also adds in a pair of flaming fireballs for Kai to round out the 96-page title. Fans will be able to pick up the latest LEGO NINJAGO book when it’s published on June 5, 2025, priced at £14.99.
