LEGO NINJAGO 2026 plans previewed, including a board game

The LEGO Group has previewed their plans for NINJAGO's 15th anniversary in a video summarising the journey so far and what is to come.

The official online store has been updated to reflect the start of LEGO NINJAGO's 15th anniversary year. The new webpage features everything from character information to a special video starting the year in style. This video has since been re-uploaded to X by Dailyninjago_, featuring footage from the series, events, games and much more.

Alongside the past footage, a new look at what is likely the fourth season of Dragons Rising, tying in to the early 2026 sets, has been released. We can see the inspiration behind 71855 Ninja Dragon Riyu's Battle, 71859 The Dragon of Life, and at least one never-before-seen minifigure (just to the left of Riyu).

The video ends with a look at a new 2D-animated project on the way as well, but there are no further details for this animation at the time of writing. It will follow LEGO NINJAGO Legends: Monstrosity from last year, but with a humanoid Kai similar to that which can be found in Fortnite.

A dragon similar to Daidan from 71847 The Guardian Dragon can be seen on a huge sword, but this area is distinctly more colourful than the Land of Monsters.

Most notably, the video also features our first look at a new LEGO NINJAGO board game named Destiny's Bounty Adventures. The release date is currently unknown, but it includes four minifigures and cards. Within that minifigure selection is an exclusive Nya in her first ZX suit. She was still Samurai X when the ZX suits were in use, and it's good to see that she's finally getting one alongside the rest of the team.

When this board game will be released has not been confirmed, but it's looking likely to be a small part of an exciting year for NINJAGO enthusiasts. It's also worth noting that the start of the anniversary year has prompted the LEGO Group to officially release the two pilot episodes in HD on the kids' section of LEGO.com.

While we wait for more details of these various projects, a new wave of LEGO NINJAGO sets has just launched, though a select few are proving to be harder to find than others.
