Sounds like LEGO Minifigures Series 29 has its own Wolfpack Beastmaster after all…

LEGO Minifigures 71052 Series 29 is starting to pop up in stores around the world, and early indications are that it has its own Wolfpack Beastmaster equivalent.

If you were on the hunt for 71048 Series 27 minifigures last year, you’ll remember how difficult it was to track down the Wolfpack Beastmaster, which was snapped up instantly by collectors, Castle army builders and resellers alike. The experience echoed that of the Dragonborn Paladin in 71047 Dungeons & Dragons in 2024, and now it seems like we’re in store for something similar in Series 29.

Redditor BraydimusPrime reports finding orange Series 29 boxes on shelves early at a Walmart store in Utah, with not a single BIONICLE Cosplayer among them. “They had even more not pictured and I searched through every single one, not a single Tahu,” they said. “I was really hoping Tahu wouldn't suck as badly to get as the Dragon[born] Paladin from the D&D series, but Tahu looks to be just as much of a b**** to get unfortunately.”

One anecdotal experience doesn’t necessarily signify a trend, but it feels quite telling that this is one of the very first experiences any of us have had of these minifigures, which don’t officially land on shelves until May 1. It’ll be interesting to see if it plays out similarly as they start to appear in other places – and how difficult the BIONICLE Cosplayer will be to find come next month when they’re available everywhere.

Your best chance of finding Tahu – or any of the other 11 characters in 71052 Series 29 – is by scanning the codes on the bottom of the boxes to identify the minifigure inside. Brick Search’s minifigure scanner will be able to help you do that from May.

If you find Series 29 in stores early, please get in touch with the Brick Search team on andrew@tiromedia.co.uk to get the codes added into the app and help out your fellow collectors. And if you haven't already, download Brick Search on iOS or Android to get ready for the launch of Series 29 now.
