LEGO Minifigures 66795 Series 27 6 Pack revealed

As is tradition, a six-pack of the next series of LEGO Collectible Minifigures will be available to buy through official channels.

Since switching to blind boxes from blind bags for 71039 Marvel Series 2, the LEGO Group has offered six-packs of its Collectible Minifigures at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores. The upcoming 71048 Series 27 will continue that legacy with 66795 Series 27 6 Pack, which includes a random selection of six minifigures in a single purchase (with exclusive outer packaging).

While these six-packs sometimes include six entirely different characters, you’re effectively rolling the dice on which minifigures you end up with – and whether you come across any duplicates. 66795 Series 27 6 Pack is not yet listed at LEGO.com in the UK and Europe, but it is live in the US, where it will cost $29.94 when it launches on January 1. That’s the same price as buying six individual 71048 Series 27 minifigures.

The only guaranteed advantage of the six-pack is the ability to amass a greater quantity of minifigures, because LEGO.com places limits on the number of individual packs you can order (for 71047 Dungeons & Dragons, for example, there’s a limit of 24 single packs per customer). Sure, each six-pack might contain a pre-selected assortment of six different characters, and there may be ‘A’ and ‘B’ boxes (so that buying two nets you a full series).

But that is by no means assured, so your best bet if you want to collect specific characters – or even duplicates of some, like the Wolfpack Beastmaster – is buying them in person and scanning using the Brick Search app’s new and improved minifigure scanner. Head here to find out more about everything included with Brick Search Plus, including full access to the minifigure scanner, just in time for 71048 Series 27.

You’ll be able to get your hands on the new minifigures from January 1 at the latest (although there’s every chance they’ll pop up on store shelves before then, as typically happens with new LEGO Collectible Minifigures releases).
